A powerful and genuinely honest showjumper who makes the job easy for his rider. He goes from wherever you meet the fence, long, short or on an awkward angle, without backing off or making a fuss, and that willingness is the first thing people notice about him.
He is by Mylord van ’t Vlasmeer, a son of Emerald van ’t Ruytershof, out of a Selle Français mare by Eflé de B’Néville. Emerald, Diamant de Semilly and Carthago all sit inside three generations on his sire’s side, and that is where the power comes from.
He has been produced by one young rider since he was five. She was fourteen when she got him and she is nineteen now, and she has taken him from the small classes up to a CSI2* start at 1.40 m. He wins at 1.20 m and 1.30 m, often with two clear rounds on the day, and was placed third at 1.35 m, again double clear. He is in full work and out competing now.
He is easy to have around the yard. He stands well for the farrier and the vet, and he loads and travels without fuss.
He would suit a young rider who is ready to start winning. There is no need to have competed at 1.20 m first. He is safe and straightforward enough to come to straight off ponies, he will teach the job himself, and he has plenty left as the rider improves through 1.30 m and 1.35 m. At 170 cm and built to match, he also carries a taller rider comfortably.
